Profoundly shaped by her work in the Brooklyn music and drag communities alongside Sammy Rae & the Friends and Sasha Velour, and by serving as company manager for NYC’s Sea Dog Theater. Lesli Margherita won the Laurence Olivier Award for her West End debut in Zorro The Musical and originated the roles of Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda The Musical and Mona Kent in Dames at Sea on Broadway. Off-Broadway she received Drama Desk, Lortel, and Outer Critics nominations for Who’s Holiday, Emojiland, and A Scythe of Time. Television credits include recurring and guest starring roles on “NCIS Hawaii” “Minx”, “Fairly OddParents”, “The Rookie”, “The Crew”, “Raven’s Home”, “Homeland”, “Instinct”, “Seven Seconds”, and “Transparent”. Currently on film in “The Many Saints of Newark” and “Opening Night”. Lesli’s voice can also be heard on several animated films and shows on Paramount+, Disney, FOX and Nickelodeon. Select regional credits include leading roles in Nine, Damn Yankees, Guys and Dolls, Flamingo Kid, Hunchback Of Notre Dame, Kiss Me Kate, Man Of La Mancha, Little Shop Of Horrors, and Spamalot. Sasha Hutchings is an actress, teaching artist, and creative producer. She appears as “Cowgirl” on WARRIORS, the new concept album from Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis. She played Laurey Williams in the Daniel Fish directed revival of Oklahoma! on Broadway and the National Tour. Sasha is an original cast member of Hamilton and featured in the Disney+ Hamilton Film. Additional Broadway: My Fair Lady, Rocky, Motown, and Memphis. Sasha stars as Hope on Run The World (STARZ). Additional TV: Elsbeth (CBS) Demascus (SXSW premiere), Fosse/Verdon, Blue Bloods, and SMASH. Sasha collaborates with public school theatre programs including Epic Theatre Ensemble and The Arthur Miller Foundation. She is represented by Innovative Artists and The Boothe Group.
