Bianca Marroquín

Bianca Marroquín started her artistic career in Mexico City in productions of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Rent, The Phantom of the Opera, The Vagina Monologues, and CHICAGO. For her portrayal of Roxie Hart, Bianca received five awards from the Mexican Association of Theatre Critics, including New Revelation and Best Actress. In 2002, Bianca made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart and later kicked off CHICAGO’s third national tour, winning a Helen Hayes Award. Other Broadway credits: Daniela in In the Heights; Carmen in The Pajama Game. Her regional work includes And the World Goes Round at Barrington Stage Company (woman #3) and Bye Bye Birdie at North Shore Music Theatre (Rose Alvarez, IRNE Award for Best Actress in a musical). Other credits include Maria Rainer in The Sound of Music (Mexico City), Anita in West Side Story (Carnegie Hall), and Mary in Mary Poppins (Mexico City). TV: Chita Rivera in FX’s “Fosse/Verdon.” Film: Half Brothers. You can catch her in the Apple TV series “Acapulco” this fall.

Matte Martinez

MATTE MARTINEZ is a multi-talented artist, known for singing, dancing, and acting. He’s making his BROADWAY DEBUT here at MJ the Musical and couldn’t be more excited! Matte started performing on tour all across the country at age 10 with the world famous kids group Kidz Bop. He co-wrote a song for “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” Season 4 and is currently creating and starring in a new musical he created the story and music for with his writing partner. He’s also appeared on TV shows such as “The Good Doctor” and “Saturdays” on Disney Channel.

Ilda Mason

ILDA MASON (Ensemble) was born and raised in Panamá where she began her acting career with productions such as Peter Pan (Peter Pan), The Beauty and the Beast, A Chorus Line (Bebe) and Hello Dolly (Minnie) among others. She was a professional dancer on Panamá’s “Dancing with the Stars” (Season 2 Champion). She made her feature film debut in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story (Luz) and her Broadway debut with the same show, directed by Ivo Van Hove. TV/Film credits include appearances in “The Equalizer” (CBS) and the upcoming feature musical film Kiss of the Spider Woman. Some of her favorite theater credits are Evita (A.R.T., Shakespeare Theater Company), Come Fall in Love (The Old Globe Theater), On Your Feet! (National tour), West Side Story (Paper Mill Playhouse, Signature Theatre), Cinderella (National tour), and Legally Blonde (China tour). She’s filled with gratitude for the opportunity of telling stories on stage and onscreen, especially Latine ones like BVSC.

Daniel May

Currently in: Maybe Happy Ending

Daniel May is over the moon to be returning to Broadway after many years away in Maybe Happy Ending. Daniel made his Broadway debut in the 2002 revival of Flower Drum Song starring Lea Salonga and has been working as a theater artist his whole life. Most recently Daniel played the lead role of “Xūe Xíng” in a newly envisioned production of David Henry Hwang and Jeanine Tesori’s Soft Power at Signature Theatre and has been with the piece since the world premiere in Los Angeles at Center Theater Group and then The Public Theater here in NYC which received nominations for both the Pulitzer Prize for drama and Grammy Award in 2020. As a South Korean born adoptee, getting to be a part of this beautiful story means so much! Thank you to Michael Arden and the whole MHE fam for this incredible gift. This one is dedicated to his newly married husband Mateo. Thank you for encouraging me to never give up on my dreams!
